CYFOR, an industry leader in the provision of digital forensics to the legal industry has expanded its digital forensics team with the recruitment of former police investigators to further enhance capabilities and meet increased client demand.

Introducing Forensics Manager, Mark Payton

As the newly appointed Forensic Manager, Mark will oversee a team of Digital Forensic Analysts, specialising in Computer Forensics, Mobile Phone Forensics and Digital Media Investigations. With a background in law enforcement, Mark spent 11 years at the Cheshire Constabulary in the Digital Forensics department. From this role, he honed his skillset and partook in several complex and high-profile computer and mobile phone investigations. Whilst at Cheshire Constabulary, he was able to undergo a vast number of training courses both software specific and theory-based and currently holds an EnCase Certified Examiner qualification. Prior to his career in law enforcement Mark obtained a first-class honours degree in Computer Forensics from The University of Sunderland.

“The experience Mark has gained within Digital Forensics over the past 14 years will enable CYFOR’s criminal digital forensics department to thrive and further increase output, while also focussing on ISO accreditations and updating procedures and methodologies,” said Lawrie Perret-Hall, Commercial Director at CYFOR.

Introducing Senior Digital Forensic Investigator, Vicky Saunders

In conjunction with the appointment of Mark, CYFOR also welcomes Vicky Saunders to the team as a Senior Digital Forensic Investigator.

With a first-class degree in Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation from the University of Central Lancashire, Vicky spent four years working in the digital forensics department for Thames Valley Police. In this role, she gained extensive experience in investigating both complex computer and mobile forensics cases.

As part of her training at Thames Valley Police, Vicky gained a wealth of knowledge regarding both computer and mobile phone forensics, which she is keen to continually expand upon and further enhance her position as an expert within her discipline.

Lawrie Perret-Hall commented, “We look forward to Vicky applying her extensive knowledge to cases at CYFOR and working with the digital forensics team to propel CYFOR towards ISO17025 accreditation.”
