Job Vacancy: eDiscovery Specialist 

The eDiscovery Specialist role, reporting to the Head of eDiscovery, will cover all aspects of delivering eDiscovery projects on behalf of CYFOR. The role will include technical, project and legal work flow management:

  • Complete understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and their implications on eDiscovery;
  • Advanced understanding of disclosure obligations and legal work flow across the lifespan of a litigation matter; understanding the need for opposing parties to exchange legal data;
  • Clear understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model; a qualified Relativity Certified Administrator;
  • Full understanding of CYFOR’s eDiscovery services & solutions, including Relativity & Nuix, and how they are delivered to clients;
  • Clear understanding of the general eDiscovery market, its vendors, leading commentators etc;
  • Project management skills in managing multiple projects; advanced knowledge of data management & administration;
  • Ensure all milestones within each client matter is achieved and communicated; ensuring data is ready for witness statements or court preparation;
  • Ensure the disclosure package is quality checked to ensure accuracy and there is no cross contamination of opposing data;
  • Provide the client with an understanding of CYFOR’s eDiscovery solutions, via the web or in person; providing technical support and escalating performance issues to the Head of eDiscovery;
  • Work alongside the Business Development team to ensure a complete understanding of the eDiscovery services offered and assist in the preparation of quotes; presenting and demonstrating the best practices of CYFOR’s eDiscovery solutions to clients, appreciating the legal challenges faced;
  • To testify in court, as required, on eDiscovery procedures and findings;
  • Assist with procurement and maintenance of software and hardware for eDiscovery projects; execute verification tests of software and hardware and methods to independently validate functionality;
  • To keep abreast of technological developments and maintain an excellent understanding of the use of technology in delivering business objectives through continual training and research into eDiscovery best practises and procedures; responsible for the maintenance of eDiscovery documentation;
  • To report or escalate issues as appropriate to the Head of Investigations;
  • To actively promote and encourage all CYFOR policies, practices and procedures;
  • To undertake any other duties that may be required to meet the requirements of the business;
  • To be prepared to work outside of normal office hours and/or to travel as and when required.
